Forming the Habit: A Case Study of Effective Practice in Group Piano I

Although instructors report teaching students how to practice, first0year music majors may be unsure of how to practice effectively. The purpose of this case study was to investigate the effects of focusing first-semester group piano students’ attention on specific musical problems during practice.
