A Little About Sarah
Sarah is full-time faculty at Southern University in Baton Rouge, a PhD in Music Education candidate at Louisiana State University, and the choir director and pianist at Lutheran Church of Our Savior and St. Paul Lutheran Church. As an active member of the local music community, she is the Advertising Chair for the Louisiana Music Teachers Association and the current president of the Baton Rouge Jr Counselors Club as part of the National Federation of Music Clubs.

As a lover of music of all kinds, Sarah began lessons on multiple instruments and played in many ensembles at a young age—igniting her passion for community music making. Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Mississippi State University under Steinway Artist Dr. Rosângela Sebba where she received multiple awards and performed as a soloist with the Starkville Symphony Orchestra.
While attending MSU, Sarah began teaching pre-college piano lessons and adult group classes through the MSU Community Music School. With students’ ages ranging from 4 years old to 85 years old, she strongly believes that everyone has the ability to make music and share it with others.
